The Launch of Late Night Taxi Stands

The city of Calgary has taken the hint and has launched its new late night taxi stands in a bid to make sure people out late at night have a safe and secure way of getting home late at night.

Prior to the launch many Calgarians had raised their concerns about not being able to locate safe rides home at night. As a result of this, queues are being positioned outside hot spots downtown where patron and cab drivers can find one another.

This new system has been designed to increase patron safety as they now have a viable way home without having to worry about their safety which is essentially the purpose of the implementation.

Not only is it safe for patron using the cabs, but the cab drivers themselves are safer too. In most cases cab drivers are often forced to double park, or stop in the middle of the road just to drop or pick up fares. That is no longer necessary with this concept.

It will also help to relieve staff who work late nights and find it hard to locate a cab home, while managers inside hotels are often seen running outside in order to flag down cabs for guests. As a result, many find this new idea extremely convenient and safe for them.

However, while this notion is a wonderful idea, it is also a good idea to have added protection on hand. This can be in the form of a pepper spray canister which is an effective self defense device that can quickly put a stop to someone’s actions should you suddenly feel threatened.

Not only that, but as it is small and light it makes carrying particularly easy as no unnecessary bulk is added to it. For those out late at night, or even during the day, simply being able to carry pepper spray around in a concealed manner will give you added confidence. Should you suddenly feel threatened you can quickly and effectively employ it for your defense.
