Police Employ Twitter to Maintain Public Safety before Big Night
In a bid to maintain people’s safety police were also employing social networking site Twitter as they prepared themselves for the night that is generally known as Black Friday, when countless workers typically have their Christmas parties and night out events.
Avon and Somerset police have also been running an awareness week known as Have The Christmas You Deserve.
Safety advice and information is available in the lead-up to Christmas, as it highlights what the police force are doing in regards to issues such as violence, anti-social behaviour, in addition to domestic violence, burglary and a clamp down on drink driving.
Officers will be out talking to people and engaging with those who are out with the intention to have a good time on how they can maintain their safety. For those that are behaving in an inappropriate way, officers will be banning from the city centre and in some instances undertaking arrests.
One way they can achieve this is through the help from pepper spray. Easy to carry around, particularly on a festive night when small purses will be out in full force, this device is the ideal alternative to maintaining a person’s protection.
