UK Bus Service Added to Increase Night Time Safety
The university which has named the program Cats Cruiser, will be offering four late-night UK bus service routes where buses will circulate every 20 to 30 minutes. The object of the program is to ensure that students and other passengers are able to return safely to their campus or residing areas.
The service is due to run through the academic year with classes in session and will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. With the service beginning this Thursday, students with a valid UK student ID card will be able to ride for free. Non-students will need to pay $1 to board the buses.
When it comes to student safety, it is important that they have a form of transport that will enable them to return to their campuses, particularly at night, safely. However, while the implementation of a bus service is certainly a ideal concept, it is also a good idea for students to have another form of protection on hand for their defense.
One such device that they should think about is a stun gun. Extremely easy to employ as well as safe to use, this self defense device can quickly subdue an individual without causing them harm, but allows the one employing it to escape when needed.
A stun gun would be ideal in these situations as it maximizes students safety at all times.
