Police Employ TASER Device on Violent Father Who Escapes Prison Sentence
The man in question from York in England had initially returned home after celebrating his birthday and subsequently got into an argument as his partner went upstairs to check on their two-year-old daughter.
York Crown Court heard how the father slammed the baby gate and pinned his partner up against the banister when she informed him he would have to get their daughter back to sleep if he woke her up.
As a result of his actions, the father of one then went on to throwing furniture and smashing possessions which included a television and chairs at the living room window. The court went on to hear that a neighbor saw a large TV hit the window. When the neighbor shouted at the man to stop, he shouted back at the neighbor before continuing on in his destructive manner.
When officers arrived on scene, they saw the man attempting to climb out of a window; however, when he spotted them he swore at them before returning back inside the house. Because of his aggressive actions officers utilized a TASER device on the man before arresting him.
It was revealed to the court, that the 32-year-old man had initially drunk eight pints of beer and a triple vodka on his birthday celebrations. As well as his current drunken actions, he also obtained previous convictions of drunk and disorderly conduct which date back to his teenage years and early 20s.
