Officers Employ TASER Device on Struggling Man
The incident, which took place in the late afternoon, saw a confrontation break out after an officer saw the 57-year-old’s 20-year-old son drive by. The officer explained about the knowledge of a felony arrest for the 20-year-old. Not only that, but the son also had a suspended driver’s license.
The young man pulled over for officers near his father’s home. It is reported that the 57-year-old man then left his house to interfere with the police investigation. Authorities reported that the father stood between his son and the officer and refused to obey police orders when he was asked to back away. The report went on to say that the 57-year-old then pushed the officer which caused him to lose his balance.
The report went on to explain that an officer employed a TASER device in order to control the 57-year-old after he resisted officers when they attempted to handcuff him. He was then taken into police custody.
However, he didn’t make things any better by then pushing the officer, which then resulted in him getting a stun from the self defense device that many officers carry on them as part of their protective equipment.
