New Website Reveals Crime Hotspots
The new website, police.uk, shows important crime data at street level that allows people to see what types and the amount of crime that occurs on their roads.
The site which was launched by the Home Office on Tuesday is set to be challenged by a public that may consider themselves more informed.
Crime hotspots in Bracknell Forest typically occur around areas that have shops. For example, Market Street had 35 crimes during the month of January and The Ring had 23 crimes.
Smaller roads were also affected by higher crime levels which included Ladybank in Birch Hill which saw six crimes and Honeyhill Road in Priestwood that had 10 crimes. Other locations included The Memorial Park in Sandhurst and the Morgan Recreation Ground in Crowthorne.
The site gives detailed information as to the types of crime that occurred on each road, such as anti-social behaviour and other crime.
The Bracknell Forest police believe this site is the perfect tool to have when it comes to tackling crime and building on their success of community action, policing transparency and local accountability.
One way of protecting themselves is through the assistance from a self defense device such as a stun gun. Nowadays, these tools are a common sight to see when it comes to police departments utilizing them for police and public protection.
Members of the public are also turning their attention to them as they provide the perfect means of defense in a compact device that is small enough to carry wherever you go.
