TASER Devices Provide Police With More Options
In 2004 the self defense devices were first legalized which is why the police chief recently voted to add the warrant article in order to buy the units for police use.
Police chiefs within the area have explained that the employment of these tools has proven to be extremely effective when it comes to protecting members of the public and officers from harm while on duty. And others have also strongly supported the notion of bringing these tools on board.
Essentially, when an officer pulls out their gun, they do so knowing that they could potentially kill the individual they are targeting. The use of a gun is brought into play because they believe the situation to be a dangerous one.
