Homeowners Receive Items Stolen from their Properties

Officers are able to get a better idea of the series of homes one burglar has gone on before he was caught. Officers have been able to link him with numerous crimes which also included the ripping off a widow of a firefighter while she was attending his funeral.

At the home of the suspect there was a sticker on his door stating that the home was secured. With a police warrant police were able to arrest the man with what they discovered in his house and car.

During the investigation officers were able to recover a large number of personal goods from the house burglaries that had taken place within the community. Items discovered included money, televisions, and jewelry.

At the funeral of the firefighter, the burglar took advantage of the widow’s absense and decided to steal a number of things including a set of diamond earrings that the fire captain had given to his wife. Her items were soon recovered and sent back to her.

After it was discovered that the house was burglarised during the service the Branford Police Department vowed that they would find out who was responsible for the crime. They did and they were also able to connect the burglar to three additional burglaries as well, but it is thought that that number will indeed go up.

Of course, for homeowners to prevent burglars from stealing from them if they are not home is to invest in a good security system which will instantly detect if someone is trying to gain entry to your home uninvited.
