Troublemakers Banned from Pubs and Clubs

Seventy-five known troublemakers have found themselves banned from local pubs and clubs as part of a crackdown on crime as police attempt to increase the safety of those out for an enjoyable evening.

In order to make sure those who are banned can’t enter the pubs and clubs their photos have been provided to every licensee in the town.

Over the Christmas and New Year holiday violent crime in England dropped by 20 percent as a result of the close work undertaken by publicans, door staff and licensing officers.

Police and town hall bosses have praised the success of BAND and the efforts that are being undertaken to tackle problems at night. One council leader expressed his view that the scheme was fantastic as it roots out the troublemakers. He went on to say that no one should have to feel intimidated while they go into a pub for a drink by people who are drunk or those who have taken drugs.

Simply by banning troublemakers anti-social behavior can be cut which essentially boosts the safety of the public. After all, why should 75 people ruin it for the majority?

Police are determined to continue their strong working partnerships with door supervisors and licensees in a bid to keep crime down and to ensure that people have a safe night out.
