Omaha police have reported that there has been an increase in the amount of home burglaries. While this may be the unfortunate case, they have also been able to catch some of the burglars too.

One homeowner said how grateful he was that an alert neighbor was able to call police and lead officers to two burglars after breaking into his house. And police are more than happy with the assistance they are receiving, particularly after a number of these cases occur during the daytime hours.

It seems that more people are becoming more alert as to what is going on around their communities and are starting to look out for one another as well.
