Three Million Volunteers to Tackle Crime
Last year, due to the success of the Rela volunteers and the police, crime dropped by 17 per cent. Nowadays there are extra police fighting crime with the help from 5,000 Rela members and the General Operations Force.
And in a bid to gather more help members from Rela, NGO and Civil Defense will be asked to join in. Training has already begun for the many volunteers who will be taking part which will see them conducting patrols with police nationwide once the programme begins this August.
Furthermore, Rela will also work as being the eyes and ears for the government as it collects information on the requirements of the people at a grassroots level.
One such device to consider is pepper spray. Compact and lightweight this device is something that many people are now turning their attention to as a way in which they can maintain their protection.
Even though you may not have to employ your pepper spray, just knowing that it is on hand will greatly increase your confidence should you find yourself a target.
