Crime Rates Increase Tensions in Alice Springs
In a bid to respond to the ads police have sent in additional resources to Alice Springs which include a sniffer dog, intelligence officers and mounted police.
Many residents believe that parents don’t have control over their children and simply let them roam the streets. Because of this, business owners are campaigning to put pressure on the Northern Territory Government so that they enforce the law.
In order for the law to be enforced business owners have listed nine demands which include a curfew for under 18-year-olds from 11 p.m to 5 a.m. There are several who have commented on the fact that if you drive around Alice Springs between the hours of 12 a.m, 3 a.m and 4 a.m, you are more than likely to see between 150-200 youths and adults on the streets.
As a result, many believe this to be unsatisfactory.
Unfortunately in this day and age there is a high amount of crime plaguing many towns and cities across the globe and while police departments are continually doing everything to tackle these problems they are still there for many of us to worry about.
Crime rates are just one thing that we have to deal with, but that doesn’t mean there is no way for you to protect yourself. In fact what thousands of people are doing is turning towards the self defense stun gun which is in operation throughout many police departments in the United States.
Simply knowing that you are able to defend yourself if the moment calls for it will greatly increase a person’s confidence in themselves and where they go. It also means that you don’t have to worry about someone else coming to your aid.
