Police TASER Man in Bathrobe After Four Hour Pursuit
The suspect who was wearing slippers and a bathrobe had been caught speeding and refused to pull over. As a result, California Highway Patrol proceeded to follow the man down Interstate 5 which saw the chase reaching speeds of 145kph.
At one particular moment police backed off which essentially gave the driver the opportunity to stop for gas. However, it wasn’t long before the chase was back on with the suspect stopping his car 25 miles east of Los Angeles where he subsequently wandered around and lit a cigarette.
Police managed to chase the suspect on foot which saw the man losing a slipper during the event. After taking the man down with a TASER device he was then taken into police custody.
Anyone who is targeted by a TASER will instantly be temporarily subdued which gives the one using it plenty of time to either apprehend the target or to escape from a situation that put them in harm’s way.
In fact an officer doesn’t even have to make physical contact with their target until they take them away into police custody.
