Night Stalker Faces Trial Over DNA Claims
Woolwich Crown Court in England recently heard that the man in question had targeted elderly people in a number of burglaries that spanned 17 years. It is alleged that the 53-year-old forced his victims into humiliating and degrading sexual assaults after he broke into their homes late at night.
Supporting this case is DNA which matches his that was located at the crime scenes.
However, the 53-year-old is expected to tell the court that his ex-wife stored samples of his body fluid in order to set a plot against him.
The case against the man in question will show evidence of him targeting a total of 18 victims and sexually assaulting nine of them after he broke into the homes across south London during 1992 and 2009.
It has been alleged that his signature move was to remove light bulbs from the bedrooms, to turn off the electricity and to cut phone lines in order for him to make his escape.
The 53-year-old, however, is denying the 29 charges made against him which include 16 burglaries, two attempted burglaries, six indecent assaults, three rapes, one attempted rape and one sexual assault.
One tool that many people are looking towards is a stun gun. Not only are members of the public using them for their safety, but police departments are too.
