Police Stun Gun Employed on Parolee
Just after 9 a.m, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies recognized a driver outside the Indio’s city limits.
The man in question who was a parolee police were in fact looking for sped off when officers attempted to pull him.
After an hour, police were able to locate the car 4 miles away. Three people inside the car jumped out, which forced officers to scatter after them as the chase ensued. However, with the assistance from the California Highway Patrol police dogs and the Indio police, officers managed to locate the three individuals in question.
The 30-year-old male driver who resisted arrest soon found himself subdued with a stun gun in order for officers to take him away into custody. The other two involved were 25-year-old and 33-year-old women.
With the assistance from the police dogs officers were able to locate the three individuals in question and with the help from the self defense stunning device police were able to apprehend the man in question after resisting his arrest.
Technology these days is a lot different compared to many years ago when police were still employing lethal devices in order to subdue their suspects. While police are there to protect the public that doesn’t mean they are there to harm the suspects they target.
Because of this it was necessary for new devices to be developed so that officers could still do their jobs while also apprehending those who were causing harm or posing a threat to society. The new devices which were developed consisted of self defense tools that many police departments across the United States and members of the public are now employing as a way to increase their safety.
As a result of this, the risk of harm to either the police or suspects is eliminated which means police can now simply bring their suspects into police custody without having to first make a stop off at the hospital for injuries to be treated.
