The Lightwalker Belt originated after two sisters from L.A. wanted to increase their safety and visibility at night while walking their dogs. Featuring a bright, battery operated LED lamp the belt can easily fit around a person’s waist providing optimal convenience.

After a walk with the dogs which resulted in one of the sisters tripping over a stone not seen she did some quick research in order to find a unit that would give her the visibility needed at night. It soon became apparent that what she was looking for wasn’t available, hence the start of the project and business partnership by the two sisters.

Knowing that their business venture was at a time when the economy was going through a crisis and when both women were facing financial trouble they still continued with their dream knowing that what they were providing would benefit people.

Even though the Lightwalker Belt was initially designed for dog walkers it can also be employed by runners, hikers and walkers. Not only that, but it can also be used during power outages and earthquakes or even light the way to the kitchen for a sneaky midnight snack.

Of course while a belt that lights the way is an ideal investment when it comes to improving your visibility that doesn’t mean you are any less protected from unwanted attention.
