Home Burglary Suspects Nabbed by Citizen and Police

It’s not every day that a citizen is able to aid police when it comes to apprehending burglars, but this was certainly the case when a concerned citizen reported three suspicious men to police in Shreveport’s Brunswick Place subdivision in Texas.

When the resident reported the behaviour officers were dispatched to the home. The caller reported that three men had got out of a car and walked behind a residence in that block.

When they arrived police found that the back door of the home had been forced open where they were able to quickly locate the three men inside the home in the process of stealing what they could. As a result, the three men were taken into police custody without any further incident.

The three men were aged between 30 and 36 years of age where they soon found themselves booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

The police chief in charge of the arrests explained that as a result of good relations with neighbors police are able to better protect and serve the public. In most cases police are able to rely on the public in order to help them when it comes to tackling crime in their communities.

While crime is something that we have to deal with that doesn’t mean that we can’t do anything as a result to stop something from happening. Whether it’s home burglaries, a sexual assault or a robbery there are measures in which members of the public can put into place that will better protect them from harm.

There are several ways in which steps can be put into place that are effective in their approaches which many people stand by: looking out for their neighbors within their communities and purchasing a stun gun for greater protection to themselves.

Knowing that your neighbors are looking out for you and you in turn are looking out for them builds on your community relationships. While this is ideal in many cases, simply knowing that you have your own form of self defense near by will greatly increase your confidence no matter where you happen to be.
