Pepper Spray Saves Woman from Becoming a Victim

Even though not all women may carry the self defense spray canister that is better known as pepper spray on them, the device proved to save the life of a female Thursday evening.

According to a report, the 25-year-old woman was assaulted by an unknown male attacker. The assault happened just as the woman was entering an apartment complex.

It is alleged that the assailant grabbed the woman from behind before tossing her on to the ground. When the man attempted to cut off her pants with a knife, she sprayed him in the face, causing him to run away.

In situations such as this it shows how effective having a self defense device on hand can be. Not only that, but having something that you can rely on in times of need gives a person the necessary confidence to tackle situations in the best possible manner.

As a result, more women should carry pepper spray around with them even if they don’t have to employ it. Simply knowing it is close by in case you do will deliver the assurance that your safety is protected at all times.

While the suspect may have managed to escape on this occasion, his experience of targeting a woman who fought back by spraying him with a powerful device will leave a lasting impression on him. Not only that, but will also, hopefully, prevent him from attacking another woman he wrongly thinks won’t fight back.

The benefits of owning pepper spray far outweigh those of not owning one. As it is a small device to hold it is easy for anyone to carry around as it takes up little room inside a purse or pocket. All that is required is a quick press which releases a strong burst of spray aimed at an assailant’s face.

Once targeted the spray gets to work immediately rendering the attacker from continuing with their actions. This then gives the owner of the spray plenty of time to remove themselves from the situation to a safer location where, if possible, they can ring the police for further help.
