Police Employ Pepper Spray on Man at North Hollywood Red Line Station

According to authorities, officers employed pepper spray on a man who was arguing with them at the North Hollywood Red Line Station.

During the incident, the man and police were seen wrestling on the ground. The incident arose when police were checking to see whether or not passengers had tickets.

As a result of the man’s aggressive behaviour deputies employed the self defense spray canister on the man before he was arrested and taken into police custody.

With the assistance from the police pepper spray officers were able to apprehend the man in what was a busy location. Being able to effectively gain control of a situation is an important part of an officer’s job. Knowing that they have tools on hand as part of their personal protection equipment they will be able to do this.

In recent years the use of police self defense devices such as spray canisters have become a regular piece of equipment for police departments. The reason this is is simply because of their non-lethal properties. Not only that, but the employment of pepper spray means that officers no longer have to undertake brute force when they are required to subdue a violent individual.

This means that more police will spend more time on the streets protecting members of the public instead of having to take time off work in order to recover. Pepper spray is also available to members of the public which means that they can also increase their protection when they are out from the safety of their homes.

In this day and age people should spend more time thinking about their protection. While we may all want to believe that the world we live in is a safe place to be, that is, unfortunately, not the case. And because of this we need to take measures to ensure our safety regardless of where we are.
