Drug Suspect is Apprehended by Police Stun Gun

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, a man from Alexandria was apprehended by a police stun gun while he was being arrested.

The man in question is facing charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance I, possession of a controlled dangerous substance IV, resisting arrest and obstructing a public passage.

Wanted on a warrant, the man in question was spotted by officers while he was talking to an individual in a vehicle. When he spotted police he ran and according to deputies, they saw their suspect putting hydrocodone pills into his mouth while throwing three bags of marijuana on the ground as he ran away.

The police report went on to say that when police had caught up with the man he resisted arrest which subsequently saw him being apprehended by a self defense device. During his arrest $923, Xanax brand alprazolam pills, hydrocondone pills and three bags of marijuana were confiscated from his possession.
