Ex-Marine Who Beats Wife During Divorce Hearing is Apprehended by Police Stun Gun
The 28-year-old suspect beat his 23-year-old wife so badly that she was held overnight in intensive care at Holy Cross Hospital, Florida to monitor brain swelling.
The mother of two, also a former Marine, suffered a torn lip, facial fractures, and a broken nose.
The shocking scene commenced when the ex-Marine disagreed with the judge’s visitation ruling and balked at paying child support. In his anger he stormed in and out of the chambers, before re-entering again, only to grab his wife around the neck to repeatedly punch her on the side of her head.
The first blow she received left her unconscious and as a result she collapsed into the arms of a courtroom clerk while a pool of blood grew near the judge’s chair. In a bid to stop the situation from escalating any further her divorce attorney wrapped his arms around the violent man in order to restrain him until police arrived at the scene.
However, still in his rage when officers arrived, he didn’t go quietly when they tried to handcuff him. Fighting back it wasn’t until a police stun gun was employed which enabled police to pin the ex-Marine to the table that allowed them to handcuff the man to bring him into police custody.
With the vengeance this man showed, a self defense device that is capable of apprehending suspects in a quick amount of time was necessary. A stun gun was the ideal protection device to have on hand as it is capable of producing the results that officers are after when they employ them: to incapacitate a suspect.
