Police in Gurnee Investigate 11 Home Burglaries

Police in Gurnee are investigating at least 11 home burglaries that have taken place over the last month.

Residents have reported the burglaries to police which commenced at the beginning of March that have continued through to last weekend. Additional home burglaries have also been reported in areas that are located close to the village.

While the method of entry varied in each of the cases, it was generally noted that forced entry of a front or rear door or basement window was the typical method for the burglars to gain entry.

Lake County Crime Stoppers and Gurnee police are urging residents to report any suspicious activity or any suspicious people that they may notice in the area straight away.

In order for homeowners to maintain their protection and what is rightfully theirs they should think about ways in which they can increase their safety. One such method that many residents are turning to is the employment of pepper spray.
