Crime Figures Are Stable but Home Burglaries Increase in Diss
The inspector presented his 2010/11 report at the Diss’ Annual Parish Meeting. There he was able to show that the number of thefts of vehicles had decreased by 36 percent, or nine in total, while criminal damage had gone down by 23 percent, or 214 offenses.
He did explain that the increase in burglaries, 45 in total, was down to a group which was linked to Essex, but he claimed that was now an issue dealt with. Items stolen from vehicles had increased from 28 percent, or 58 offenses in total.
When it came to South Norfolk overall crime had decreased by four percent while the highest amount of crime was to do with criminal damage and theft.
Nowadays, there are countless members of the public as well as police departments which are employing these devices for added protection when required.
