College Block Party Shut Down with Police Pepper Spray

Amateur video on YouTube shows how the party quickly escalated out of control with an estimated 3,000 students in attendance at the college party. One video shows several students tearing down a stop sign and burning it.
Because of the fire, officers were prompted to call in riot police for backup. However, intoxicated students who didn’t want the party to end were captured throwing beer bottles at police. In a bid to deal with these unruly students in the most effective manner officers employed pepper spray on them which resulted in a number of arrests.
With the end of the upcoming school year, it’s only natural for students to express their sense of relief by celebrating at a number of parties; however, when things get out of control it is necessary for order to be sustained.
When police are called to a scene where trouble is brewing it is important for them to assess the situation in the best way possible in order to gain control over a situation before it has the chance to escalate.
These days, there are more police departments which are providing its officers with a number of personal protective devices for use while on duty. The reason being because of the benefits reaped when these tools are employed and because of the reduced risk of harm to both officers and the individuals under arrest.
