Gunman Apprehended by TASER Device After 32-Hour Siege

According to police they employed a TASER device on a suspected gunman after a 32-hour siege in Norwich, after they feared he was holding a man and woman hostage.

As the man emerged from the house shouting which was surrounded by armed police, officers took advantage to apprehend the suspect with the opportunity they had been given.

The suspect, believed to be in his 40s and employed as a local doorman, was subdued after being targeted in the back after ignoring demands made by police to get down on the ground.

After negotiations three individuals came out of the property.

When it comes to the safety of innocent individuals who are believed to be held as hostages, it’s important for police to be able to deal with the matter in the most effective manner possible.
