Violent Crime Increases in North East Lincolnshire
The crime maps provides a breakdown on the amount of crimes committed in a one-mile radius of different town or street names and postcodes. However, when it comes to North East Lincolnshire, the statistics show that there has been a rise in the number of antisocial behavior and crimes during the month of March compared to February.
One of the areas that is depicting a rise in violent crime is in Grimsby town center. But, despite these numbers North East Lincolnshire’s community safety boss and Humberside Police are insisting that residents have a very slim chance of becoming a victim of an attack.
Grimsby town center saw a rise in the number of violent crimes rise from 96 to 122 in March and in Cleethorpes there was a rise from 29 to 33, whereas Immingham illustrated a reduction from ten to three.
One of the reasons that is explaining the rise in crime numbers is down to the fact that the nights are getting lighter, the warmer weather in March and the extra number of days.
Two of the worst areas for violent crime incidents were located in or around Town Hall Street, Grimsby, where seven incidents were recorded, and Bethlehem Street, which had six incidents.
When it came to overall figures, numbers showed that the total amount of antisocial behavior and crime incidents in Grimsby town center increased from 850 to 955, in Immingham from 97 to 112 and in Cleethorpes from 223 to 252.
A steep rise in antisocial behavior in Grimsby increased from 80 to 302 incidents.
Of course, one way that people can increase their safety is with the help from a self defense device such as pepper spray.
Not only that, but it is also safe to employ and once deployed gets to work quickly by preventing someone from harming you. It’s always better to be one step ahead when it comes to maintaining your safety and in this day and age that is certainly an issue that many people are dealing with through the employment of pepper spray.
