Teenager Caught After Night Time Burglary
Bradford Crown Court heard evidence that explained how the 18-year-old male teenager along with others forced their way into a property while the homeowners slept as they stole number electrical items such as a 40-inch TV, two mobile phones, computers and a digital radio as well as the owner’s keys that belonged to a Renault Clio and Audi A4.
The arrest of the 18-year-old came to light after he was arrested for an unrelated matter which saw police searching his home. When officers were undertaking the search they discovered the stolen TV in a cupboard in addition to the keys to both vehicles and laptops.
The teenage burglar pleaded guilty to the home burglary and the stealing of both cars. At the time of the sentencing an additional 11 home burglaries or attempted home burglaries were taken into consideration.
