Police Employ TASER Device on Man Beating Ex-Girlfriend’s New Boyfriend

Police found themselves having to employ a TASER device on a 29-year-old man after it was alleged that he assaulted his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend.

At the time of the fight the ex-girlfriend was at the courthouse so that she could file a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend. While she was there, the ex-boyfriend also turned up. Police were not sure whether his appearance was a deliberate act or mere coincidence.

He has, however, been accused of repeatedly punching his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend. When police ordered the man in question to stop punching the man he failed to comply with orders. As a result, a police stun gun was then employed on him.

With the assistance from a self defense device police are able to gain control of a situation that may otherwise take them a lot longer if such a tool was not available to help them out. Nowadays, it’s not uncommon to find police departments equipped with various forms of self defense weapons as part of their personal protective equipment.

This means that whatever the situation they will have on hand a device that they can employ that will enable them to maximize their safety and those around them. It’s not just police departments that are employing self defense tools, but also members of the public.

Without the help from a stun gun to help defend police departments or members of the public we would still be relying on lethal weapons. In doing so though we would not have the confidence to know that we can walk away from a situation without harming the person or ourselves in the process.
