Rockford Police Warn Residents to Remain Alert Over Home Burglaries
According to police the targeted homes are located in a large area, which is close to Spring Creek Road, Bell School Road, 20th Street and Newburg Road. The home burglaries are reported to have taken place between 10.30 p.m and 3.30 a.m.
In most of the incidents the criminals initially knocked on the door of the targeted home or rung the bell to determine if anyone was home. They then proceeded to kick in the front door before making their way inside. Once they were in they made a quick search for valuable items such as money and jewelry, in addition to alcohol.
In this day and age, it is necessary for homeowners to remain alert to what is going on in their communities. As the economy continues to rebuild itself there will be a rise in the amount of crime reported in many parts of the U.S and around the world.
As a result of this, homeowners should put in place the necessary measures so that they can increase their safety and maintain what is rightfully theirs. One way of doing this is with the assistance from a TASER device.
Not only are police departments relying on these tools in order to protect themselves from unwanted harm when apprehending suspects, but homeowners are beginning to see the benefits of owning them too.
They are safe to employ and easy to carry around, which means that wherever you happen to be you can be content in the knowledge that what you have on hand will be able to defend you at a moment’s notice.
No one should have to worry about their safety in their own homes. Unfortunately, we no longer live in a society where we can simply leave our front doors and windows open without fear of someone walking in and stealing from us.
A person’s home is considered their safe haven and by having the measures in place you can make sure this remains the case.
