Home Burglaries May be Connected, Say Officials
In the afternoon deputies were called to an apartment block after they received an alarm. When they were on scene, the homeowner’s son turned up. Officials found that the master bedroom had been turned over and a .410 shotgun valued at $400 was missing.
It became apparent that the thief or thieves had gained entry through a back window.
On the same day and on the same block, police were called to a different residence where the homeowner explained to police that someone had gone through their home and searched through the drawers.
Those who had unlawfully gained entry to the home stole silver dollars, which dated back to the 1800s and 1900s. Jewelry was also stolen, all of which valued at around $1,100. Police also believe that in this instance entry was gained through a back window.
Later that evening, police were called out again to another residence. Once on scene, they found a bedroom window had been busted in where $11,600 worth electronics, jewelry, cash and other items were stolen.
When it comes to a person’s property it is important that certain measures are put into place in order to make sure that thieves don’t take advantage by stealing from them. There are ways in which they can be achieved, all of which will add greatly to the confidence of a homeowner.
One way is by installing a good security alarm system, which will act as a major deterrent to any would-be thief that decides to target your home. Not only that, but if you are not at home, it will instantly alert police to an intruder.
Another way of maintaining your protection is to purchase a long distance stun gun. While it is important to have outdoor security, it is just as important to have indoor security as well. If you should find yourself confronted with an unwanted intruder you will feel more confident in yourself if you know that you have a non-lethal self defense device on hand that will protect you no matter what.
