Man Is Apprehended by Police TASER after Chase

A Houston man was apprehended by a police TASER device after attempting to flee from police.

Officers initially responded to a call that involved a domestic disturbance. When police arrived at the scene, they found out that the man involved in the incident had already left. They soon tracked him down.

According to police, when an officer tried to pull the man over in question over for speeding, he refused. As a result, the man drove off forcing police to give chase. Shortly afterwards, the man crashed into a tree.

However, instead of giving himself up, he then tried to make his escape by fleeing from them. When police had caught up with the man they then employed a self defense stunning device on the man in order to apprehend him and to prevent him from escaping again.

Nowadays, it’s not uncommon for police to have a form of defense on hand that will enable them to successfully apprehend a suspect who is trying to harm others or who is trying to escape from police.

Whereas brute force may have once been the sole player that is no longer the case in today’s society. These days, police are required to spend more time on the streets tackling crime instead of taking time off to recover from injuries.

Because of this, they are required to have a form of defense on hand that will enable them to still subdue a suspect, but that won’t harm anyone in the process. Unlike a traditional firearm, which poses the risk of deadly harm, a TASER device doesn’t come with that risk.

Instead, it gives the officer using it the necessary time to make an arrest without further harm coming to those involved. It’s not everyday that such a tool is widely available, but since its introduction police departments are noticing the benefits of equipping their officers with the tools for added safety.

Simply knowing that they have a self defense device on hand will give officers the confidence to know that they can do their job as effectively as possible without having to worry about harming someone in the process. Not only that, but it is important that they have a tool on hand that can do the job in the most time efficient way possible.
