Police Hunt for Female Burglars
Lower Paxton Township police have released a sketch of the woman based on the description provided.
Police are hoping that someone will recognize who the woman is, after she was one of two women spotted trying doors of homes in the area.
According to police, the two women were dropped off in the neighborhood by a man. When they tried one house an alarm was set off, which saw both women move quickly from the area back into the car. The car then sped off.
The alarm was set off after a rear window had been broken.
Nowadays, more homeowners are taking the necessary steps to protect their homes and what is rightfully theirs after an increase in the number of home burglaries has been reported across the United States.
A person’s home is considered their safe haven and a place where they can retreat to after a long stressful day at work. They shouldn’t have to worry about the possibility of someone breaking into their home whether they are there or not.
Unfortunately, in today’s society it’s no longer a case of simply leaving your windows and doors open without worrying about the prospect of someone entering your home uninvited only to steal a few of your possessions to sell on.
Those days are long gone and now many homeowners are left fearful of what might happen if they leave a window or a door open for a brief moment.
Of course, there are ways in which homeowners can prevent their homes from becoming targeted. One such way, like the house mentioned above, is to install a good security alarm system, which will instantly alert others and police of a possible break-in.
Another way for a homeowner to maintain their safety if a burglar should gain entry is to have a stun gun on hand. This device has now become one of the most popular self defense devices on the market because it doesn’t pose a risk of harm.
Unlike traditional firearms, this stunning device will still apprehend a person, but will only temporarily subdue them, giving them enough time to call for police assistance.
