A Night Out Against Crime
As the event draws closer, the Tracy Police department is hoping that residents will come together in order to take a stand against a similar message. In its 28th year, Tracy has taken part in the event for eight years.
For this year’s celebrations, the police department will be hosting a party with important information, entertainment and, of course, food.
The aim of the Tracy police crime unit is to focus on additional resources and neighbors in one area. It is hoped that this will allow more of an opportunity for residents to meet with officers and to obtain information.
Not only that, but it also presents the chance for the whole community to come together. Over the years’ National Night Out has proved to be an extremely popular celebration and it is hoped that this event will also be the same.
As next month’s celebrations kick off the main aim will be on crime prevention and public safety. If the event takes off this year police officials hope that they can expand on it the following year.
The event will see families taking advantage of signing up to the electronic fingerprinting with a photo ID for children, in addition to DNA kits. Families will also find information on graffiti removal, home security landscaping and the newly mandated carbon monoxide alarms.
In order for residents to maintain their safety it is a good idea for them to think about introducing measures in which that can be done. There are many devices that many people are turning their attention to, but unfortunately not all of them deliver the safety that many are after.
In some cases, weapons employed can often have life threatening consequences. However, that’s not to say there aren’t other safety tools available. In fact, one device that residents are frequently relying on is pepper spray.
Completely safe to employ, one spray from this self defense tool is enough to stop anyone in their tracks, thus giving the necessary confidence to a person who requires a device that will instantly boost their safety in a non-lethal manner.
