Man from Fort White Charged with Two Burglaries at Same Residence

According to deputies in Fort White the arrest of a 24-year-old man seems to have helped them solve two burglaries that occurred at the same residence.

The home burglaries were reported three days apart near Lake City. The first burglary, which was reported on August 2, saw the burglar make away with jewelry and cash. On August 5, police were called out to the same address when they were notified of a burglary in progress.

When police arrived, they noticed someone fleeing from the house, which eventually saw them pursuing the man over a number of fences. When it was possible a police officer employed his TASER stun gun on the man in question in order to bring him into police custody.

With the assistance from the public, police were able to respond quickly to catch the thief in the process of stealing yet more from the same house he had initially targeted three days beforehand.
