Pit Bull Attacks Two Young Children

A pit bull has attacked and injured two young children, while another dog was left dead.

The attack occurred at 3.47 p.m. when two boys aged 4 and 10, were bitten by the dogs.

Police were directed to the address where the attack occurred. When police arrived they encountered five dogs forcing them to shoot the most aggressive in the bunch. Three further dogs were placed in pens, while a fourth ran away. The fourth dog was later apprehended after the owners returned home.

Both of the children suffered bites and scratches and were transported to hospital where they received treatment. The dog attack is under investigation which will see whether a district attorney will issue charges.

The same dogs have been called upon by police after harassing people.
