Police Search for Men in Relation to Home Burglaries

Houston police are searching for a group of men they say are responsible for a number of home burglaries that have taken place for more than a year.

West University Place police are working together with other police departments in order to piece the cases together. Dozens of burglaries have taken place in the inner loop communities and authorities believe these to be connected.

Police are urging homeowners not to let their guard down. Around 20 home burglaries have been reported so far this year, which are being investigated. During the day, the criminals are working in pairs or groups to figure out the layout of the homes, which are situated two or three blocks from a busy street.

In some instances, the criminals may even knock on the homeowners door to see if there is anybody at home or not. If no one is home they will bring cars to the location, make their way around to the rear of the house and gain unlawful entry through the back.
