‘Night Out’ Details Released

According to a news release issued from the Bossier City Police Department, Bossier City will be hosting a Night Out Against Crime on Oct 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event will work in the same manner as the National Night Out events, which have also taken place in Bossier City. This time though the city is focusing on a similar event during October when the weather is cooler allowing residents to be more comfortable.

Residents are being asked in neighborhoods throughout Bossier City to turn their lights on outside on Oct 4 and to spend an evening with city police officers and neighbors. The event is aimed at promoting drug prevention and crime awareness; boosting the spirit of the neighborhood and the partnership between police and the community; as well as sending a clear  message to criminals that neighbors are working against crime.
