$7000 Raised for Dog Attack Victim

Over 200 people have taken part in a community trivia night where they opened their hearts and wallets to raise funds for the family of the four-year-old girl who was killed by a dog attack last month in St Albans.

The event took place at Errington Community Centre last Wednesday which raised nearly $7000 towards helping the family move to a new home. The death of the four-year-old girl comes only two weeks after the family’s rented home was burnt down, which destroyed their possessions.

One of the event’s organisers explained that the community had enthusiastically rallied to the cause.

Since the death, the family are slowly coming to terms with the loss and are looking to get on with their lives as best as they can. The events have also touched the community where they realized that the family needed help after seeing their home burnt down and the death of their daughter.
