Police Make Arrest in Relation to Home Burglaries
According to West Shore Regional police, the man in question, of Mount Greta, admitted his involvement in the crimes, which took place in Wormleysburg borough and the townships of Lower Allen, Silver Spring, Hampden, and Monroe.
Police say that he stole guns, cash, and jewelry from homes amounting to around $40,000.
With home burglaries becoming a prevalent factor in our day-to-day lives there are residents thinking of ways in which they can maintain what is rightfully theirs whether they are at home or not.
Simply taking the time to lock doors and windows can help, in addition to the installation of a good security alarm. However, if these measures are not taken and a thief does manage to gain entry to your home while you are inside, then how are you going to protect yourself against him or her?
While no one wants to think about the possibility of their homes becoming a target it does happen and seems to be happening at an alarming rate in today’s society. Because of this, homeowners should think of measures that they can put into place that can defend them when they need it the most.
One way that homeowners are doing this is through the assistance of pepper spray. As the device is small it is easy to carry around wherever you are providing maximum safety at all times. Simply knowing it is close by will give the reassurance that many residents are after.
Even if your home is not targeted, you will be guarded if such an occurrence does take place. A person’s home is their safe haven; a place they can escape to after a hard day at work. By taking the measures to protect it from those who want to steal from you will mean that it can continue to be your safe haven.
Once someone has intruded into your personal space, it can be very hard for people to get over that. This should be a big incentive to make sure that no one does take advantage and try to steal from you by putting into place the safety measures required to protect you.
