Police Employ Stun Gun on Teenager Driving Stolen Minivan

Police in Fraser, Michigan employed a stun gun on a 19-year-old man who fought with police after being involved in a brief chase.According to police, they tried to stop a stolen Chrysler minivan on Thursday morning. The report states that the driver drove off into a residential area of Roseville, but was forced to stop after encountering a dead end street.

Fraser police said that the 19-year-old male fought with police, but was apprehended once the self defense device was employed on him. He was then taken away into police custody.

As a result of his actions he was charged with resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding, and receiving and concealing stolen property. If convicted he could face up to 12 years behind bars.
