Police TASER Gun Employed on Man Standing on Roadway
When the an off-duty officer saw what he was doing he approached him along with two Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies. After assessing the situation, it was deemed necessary for the self defense device to be employed on the man to prevent harm coming to harm and to drivers unsure of what he was doing.
The man was then taken to Louisville Metro Emergency Medical Services to University Hospital where he received a medical evaluation.
Nowadays, it’s not uncommon for police to have a self defense device on them. After all, results have found that these tools are extremely effective in producing the life-saving results that so many officers want when they are out protecting the lives of many.
Unfortunately, the use of a traditional firearm does not deliver these figures. As a result of this, it is necessary for police to have a range of non-lethal tools on them which don’t harm the person targeted, but still subdue the individual in the time required to bring a situation under control.
Since the TASER was created there are countless police departments across the country that have turned their attention to them. However, it is also members of the public who are also realizing the benefits that these tools produce when required.
No one wants to feel like a victim, which is why they have become the ideal alternative to self defense in today’s society. Not only that, but when police are employing them they can rest assured that what they are using is a safe tool to employ in any situation.
In this case with the man acting in a bizarre manner it proved extremely effective at bringing about the timely results needed, particularly when the man was in the middle of the street around cars.
In order to prevent any harm coming to the man and to the drivers unsure what his intentions were, it was necessary for police to resort to the police TASER gun as a way of stopping the situation from escalating out of control.
The use of a firearm would not have achieved this.
