Two-Year-Old in Dog Attack Horror

A dog, believed to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, attacked a toddler by biting a two-year-old on the head after the toddler tried to stroke the dog outside a shop.The dog, who was not on a lead, inflicted puncture wounds on the boy’s head when the incident took place at 3.20 pm on Tuesday. As a result, police have launched an investigation.

The dog was not wearing a collar and a search has begun to locate its owner. The toddler was treated for his head injuries and was allowed to return home.

According to police, the incident was a serious one that could have resulted with worse results had not the young boy’s mother not taken direct action by kicking the dog to release her child.

Nowadays, it’s not uncommon to hear reports on dog attacks, but it seems that the reportage of these incidents is on the rise, causing many to question the safety measures they have in place for their safety.
