Michigan Residents Permitted to Carry Stun Guns
Under the Senate legislation, laws that include the employment and licensing of concealed pistols would also apply to the ownership of the self defense tool. That includes certain no-carry zones, for example stadiums and schools.
Michigan would join 43 other states that permit residents to carry stun guns under certain circumstances. Since 1976, Michigan law has banned the utilization of the stunning tools, with exceptions for personnel such as police.
Now, though, with the measure passing in the state Senate, residents could soon find themselves permitted to carry a non-lethal form of protection on them instead of concealed firearms.
For those who don’t like the use of guns they will approve the new measures being introduced as a way of maintaining a person’s safety without having to worry about the lethal repercussions involved with the use of other tools.
No one should have to resort to brute force in order to protect themselves and now they don’t have to.
These days with crime figures on the rise and cut backs being introduced into many areas of the law, it is important for residents to have a form of defense on hand that they can rely upon. With the use of a firearm there is no guarantee that what they are using won’t harm the person targeted.
However, with a stun gun they can rest assured that no such thing will happen. Simply knowing that will give the user peace of mind and will mean that they are more than likely to use the device for their protection when they need it the most.
In today’s society everyone should be able to have a self defense device that they can rely upon for their safety and now with Michigan passing this measure for the well-being of its residents they are one step closer to achieving that.
