Burglaries in City of Falls Church has Police on the Hunt for Answers

City of Falls Church and Arlington County police are searching for those involved in a number of home burglaries that have been reported in the area.

According to police there have been ten home burglaries between September 2 and October 7 in city limits and the East Falls Church area, which is located in Arlington County. The burglaries took place between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m. In one case, the homeowners were at home when burglars targeted their property.

Police believe that the thieves have targeted homes that were without security alarm systems and were empty. The suspects are believed to have gained access through unlocked doors and in some cases, simply kicked the doors in with double deadbolt locks.

Items stolen included laptops, jewelry, a handgun and iPods.
