No Mail for Dog Attack Street in Blackpool
As a result of the dog attack and Royal Mail refusing to deliver to the street, residents now have to collect their post from a sorting office. However, some have complained that this process take over an hour in travelling time.
According to Royal Mail they will only reinstate deliveries once it had received proof that the dog in question was under control. As a last resort the postal company suspended deliveries to a number of addresses which shows how serious they take the safety of its employees, particularly the staff who deliver the mail.
Last year over 5,000 dog attacks on postal workers were reported in the UK.
In order for individuals, particularly postal workers, to maintain their safety they should think about the measures they can put into place. One way that many people are turning their attention to is with dog pepper spray.
These days it’s not uncommon to find residents and law enforcement with a canister of self defense spray on them as the ideal way of increasing their protection when they require it the most.
When it comes to dog attacks, no one wants to be a victim, but unfortunately in this day and age it is becoming more of a problem that needs to be tackled. Of course, while it is easy to report an incident to the relevant authorities, it is just as easy to defend yourself against such an attack taking place.
By staying one step ahead and making sure that you don’t become a victim will mean that you are more than likely to avoid such a situation from happening in the first place. No one wants to find themselves confronted by an aggressive dog, but even if you are, you can rest assured that the self defense device you have at hand will do more then you need when it comes to protecting you.
Safe to use it will temporarily subdue the dog in question providing you with enough time to make your escape and for the dog to retreat.
