Items Stolen in Home Burglaries Recovered

Police in northern Idaho have been successful at recovering stolen items that were taken during a number of home burglaries earlier this year.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said that jewelry stolen has turned up at pawn shops as well as in the homes of those suspected of their involvement in the home burglaries. The agency is currently in the process of having the victims identify their stolen property.

In October, there had been over 90 reports of break-ins that took place over the past two months. In total, that’s more than four times the 21 burglaries reported during the same period in the proceeding year.

According to police, they believe that a lagging unemployment in the area could be one of the reasons behind the sharp rise in home burglaries.

In this day and age, what with unemployment affecting a large portion of the population it is important for homeowners to think of the ways in which they can better protect themselves from thieves.

There are several ways that homeowners are doing this: through the installation of a good security alarm and through the employment of a TASER gun.

Nowadays, it’s not uncommon to find more people turning their attention to the self defense device as the perfect alternative to increasing their safety. After all, the use of such a tool is safe and it’s also easy for people to function it when they need it the most.

No one should have to feel as though they are being victimized in their own homes and now they don’t have to with the use of a self defense device that has been created with safety in mind. It is important for homeowners to increase their safety with a device that is non-lethal, but that can still produce the same results at stopping a person.

Simply knowing that a TASER gun is in the home aimed at providing the necessary protection when needed means that homeowners are more confident and are able to have a plan of action in place should they need to utilize it.

Just because home burglaries are a crime that many communities have to deal with that doesn’t mean that you can’t prevent your home from becoming a target for thieves to take advantage of.
