Four Home Burglaries Reported in Watsonville

Watsonville police have received reports of four home burglaries in the city in two days.

On Sunday night, two homeowners reported that burglars had gained access to their home through bedroom windows.

On Monday, there were burglaries reported, which saw at least one home giving access to thieves through an open window.

The report went on to state that numerous items were stolen from each of the homes. As a result of these incidents, the police department is urging residents to remain vigilant when it comes to their surroundings.

Police are asking for anyone to report anything they believe is suspicious. According to police, a typical ruse is done by young men who knock on doors asking to speak to someone or asking for something in a bid to determine if anyone is at home.
