Rash of Home Burglaries Reported in Hesperia Neighborhoods

Authorities in Hesperia are searching for a man they believe is connected to a number of break-ins that were committed in the area over the weekend.

Police officials received a several calls on Sunday with reports that there had been several home burglaries in the neighborhoods of Hesperia. While many of the break-ins reported took place when no one was at home, in one of the burglaries the burglar kicked in the door of one home to find a startled woman inside.

According to reports the victim was watching television when she noticed a silver sedan pull up. As she walked to the front door, a stocky Hispanic man wearing a white T-shirt, black jacket and a black hat kicked in her door.

The woman ran out of the back of her home while the burglar ran back out to the vehicle empty-handed.

Some of the items stolen from other homes include jewelry, doors, televisions, firearms and even pieces of carpet.
