Portage troopers used a stun gun on a Portage Township man when he became violent when a warrant was being served on him on Thursday.

The man in question was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and other charges. According to troopers he disobeyed police orders and threatened family members and police before he was taken away into police custody.
