Police Charge Suspects in Connection with Linked Home Burglaries

Police have said that three different home burglaries that took place in Norman on Monday are the result of the same group of men. As a result of this, police are urging residents to take more steps to better protect themselves from burglaries over the holiday season.

According to police, the three suspects aged between 19 and 26 years of age, worked together to break into three separate homes. A witness contacted police to report a burglary in progress and was able to give police a detailed description of the vehicle used.

Police say that without the witness’ description of the car, police would not have been able to trace the suspects and make an arrest. An officer made a traffic stop simply because of the vehicle having an illegal window tint and because it was similar to the description provided.

Upon inspection of the trunk, an officer found items including flat screen televisions.

As a result of home burglaries and because the Christmas holidays are quickly approaching residents should take the steps necessary to better protect themselves.
